Dr. James “Jim” Monath graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Philosophy and a minor in Premedical Studies. He then completed medical school at Sidney Kimmel Medical College (then known as Jefferson Medical College) in Philadelphia, where he was elected to the prestigious AOA Honor Medical Society in his first year of eligibility.

Dr. Monath subsequently completed general surgery and residency training at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, after which time he served as the Chief of Urology at Maxwell Air Force Base Hospital for 3 years to fulfill his commitment for being awarded an F. Edward Hébert Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship.

Dr. Monath has many deep roots and connections to Pennsylvania. His wife was born and raised in Havertown, PA, while he grew up in Pittsburgh. He still remains a die-hard Steelers/Pirates/Penguins fan despite his previous four year residence in Center City Philadelphia!

He joined the practice in the summer of 2016 to be closer to family and friends after closing his private practice of 19 years in Zanesville, OH. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the American Urologic Association, the American Association for Clinical Urologists, the Pennsylvania and Berks County Medical Societies, and the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons.
